Starting this Friday (29th November) and spread over 3 nights, this event is held in the Cathedral and is free, on first come basis.

Tours of the cathedral tower, available 2-23rd December.


Pantomime – Puss in Boots


5,6,7th December at the Bemerton Heath community centre.



Ice Skating in Guildhall Square


From 30th November to 5th January.

BBC Wiltshire Carols

Held in the cathedral on Sunday 15th December 17-1800, with the recording transmitted on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

Carol Concert in aid of Help for Heroes and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity


Friday 20th December at 1930.

Imber Village Tours

The evacuated and abandoned village of Imber on the Salisbury Plain Training Area, is open to the public from Dec 27th to January 1st. Details here:

Charity Antiques Valuation Evening

Taking place on the evening of 18th September at The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum. Bring along your antiques for a valuation by specialists. Entrance is free, but a donation to the museum and for valuations is suggested. The museum artifacts will also be on display.

National Gardens Open Day Scheme

The award winning Horatio’s garden in Salisbury will be open to the public on Sunday 15th September. The charity provides gardens in NHS spinal injury centers to support all of those affected by a spinal injury.

Chalk Grassland Wildflower Identification at Coombe Bissett Down

A walk through the chalk grassland at Coombe Bisset with a guide from the Species Recovery Trust, to enable you to improve your flora and fauna identification skills.

Heritage Open Day

As part of the Heritage Open Day event, Mompesson House in the cathedral close is open to the public on Saturday 14th September. Entrance is free.
