Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday 10^th May between 7pm and 8pm in the Winterslow village hall.  All local residents are warmly invited to attend and refreshments will be provided.  The monthly Parish Council meeting will commence following the Annual Parish Meeting.

Planning

S/2007/153 – 38 Firs Road – Full application, single storey side extension and demolition of existing and loft conversion and associated works.  This was approved by the Parish Council.

S/2207/334 – 3 Juniper Road, Firsdown – Full application – Porch to side of garage.  This application was supported by the Parish Council subject that should this application be approved by Salisbury District Council, that a condition be inserted into the approval restricting any future conversion to habitable space.

Roman Road

A local resident who was present at the March meeting asked if the Council could ask if any residents had photographs of the Roman Road in years gone by.  The Clerk would be very pleased to receive any photographs and pass them on.

Porton Down walk

An evening walk has been arranged for Parish residents on Porton Down with the Conservation Officer at dstl in conjunction.  The walk will encompass the wildlife and conservation of Porton Down.  This will take place on Thursday 12th July at 6pm.  Anyone wishing to attend will need to contact the Clerk giving their name, date of birth, nationality and car registration number (these details requested by dstl) at least two weeks before the walk.  The maximum number of attendees is limited to thirty and no pets are allowed or anyone under the age of 18 years of age.

Next Meeting: The next full meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Thursday April 5th 2007 at 7.15pm in the Committee Room, Winterslow Village Hall.
